Market Update 7/1/17

Happy 4th of July!  Hope you had a good holiday weekend.  Our towns were filled to the brim it seems, lots going on with the fireworks, parade and picnic.  June was dramatically down from the frantic month before with only 13 new escrows (instead of 26 in May) and 22 new listings (compared to 35 in May).  Historically June has always been slower due to graduations and weddings, but if this last weekend is any indication July is going to be very BUSY!  For June, there was a total of 13 new escrows and 22 new listings, closed sales came in at 13.  Lots sales stayed higher at 9 and there were 18 new listings.  Higher interest rates are coming, don’t put it off if you have been thinking about getting coastal property.
